Tax Accountant

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax filings for individuals, corporations, and other business entities with a high degree of accuracy.
• Manage tax engagements for clients in industries such as construction and other privately held businesses, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
• Research tax issues and apply current regulations to support compliance, planning opportunities, and accurate reporting.
• Handle sales and use tax matters, including return preparation, account analysis, and resolution of filing questions.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather financial information, clarify tax positions, and provide practical guidance throughout the filing process.
• Coordinate workload during peak tax periods, meeting deadlines efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Support ongoing client service needs by identifying tax-saving opportunities and addressing notices or follow-up items as they arise.
