The Division of Enrollment Management at Western Connecticut State University provides strategic leadership and oversight for the university’s enrollment, recruitment, retention, and student access initiatives. The division supports the institution’s mission by developing and implementing comprehensive enrollment strategies that promote student success and institutional sustainability. Areas within the division include Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, International Services and Strategic Initiatives.

Position SummaryThe CSCU Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing confidential administrative support to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and contributing to the effective and efficient operation of the Division of Enrollment Management. The position serves as a key administrative resource for the division and assists with coordinating communications, managing schedules and projects, supporting enrollment-related initiatives, maintaining records and reports, and facilitating the daily operations of the office.
The Administrative Assistant interacts regularly with prospective and current students, families, faculty, staff, and external partners while ensuring a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service.
- Support the Enrollment Management Division (Admissions, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, International Services and related functional areas) in advancing divisional and institutional goals aligned with strategic enrollment objectives.
- Assist in Division-Level Budget Administration, including monitoring expenditures, tracking budgets, preparing internal budget reports, processing procurement requisitions, managing vendor invoices, and supporting fiscal planning activities.
- Coordinate and support Division Events and Initiatives, including recruitment programs, yield events, financial aid workshops, orientations, community outreach, and institutional partnership activities—both on and off campus.
- Provide Project and Operational Support for division-wide initiatives, strategic projects, system-level reporting, and cross-functional collaborations that support enrollment growth and student success.
- Manage Space Reservations and Logistics for meetings, recruitment events, and divisional programs, including securing off-campus venues when necessary to support recruitment and enrollment outreach efforts.
- Assist in Tracking and Reporting Enrollment-Related Data, preparing materials that support institutional planning, compliance, and executive decision-making.
- Serve as a Cross-Functional Administrative Resource, offering coordination and operational support to divisional leadership and collaborating offices to ensure efficient execution of institutional priorities.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience and training in a professionally oriented office setting.
- Must possess strong information technology skills such as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Experience using file sharing software such as One Drive and SharePoint, as well as virtual meeting applications such as Web Ex is desired.
