Service Manager

Based in the Wallingford, CT area preferred, this position will be responsible for leading a team of intermediate to experienced Field Service professionals, reviewing escalated issues, establishing and maintaining a good relationship with key customers, and respond to escalated complaints from high-profile customers.

Primary responsibilities in this role include:

Manage team of field technicians and office staff according to established programs and objectives.
Oversee technician schedules and manage non-productive time.
Responsible for technician recruiting and staffing as needed.
Promote a safety culture and ensure zero safety incidents.
Forecast, monitor, and document financial performance against plan.
Drive profitability of repair jobs and maintenance agreements.
Resolves issues encountered on repair jobs and maintenance agreements.
Escalate critical/complex issues that will impact the business.
Establish and maintain good relationships with customers.
Assist with contract renewals, warranty execution, cash flow mgmt. as needed.
Respond to customer complaints and implement appropriate improvement plans.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of HVAC industry experience
Must have a valid Driver’s License
High School diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of service management experience in the Commercial HVAC industry
Working knowledge and understanding of commercial HVAC systems
Technical aptitude
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering or relevant field
Proactive and able to balance multiple priorities
Excellent communication, both written and oral
Good computer skills: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to navigate , Service Max, and other business applications
