Excellent Cardiology Opportunity in Danbury, Connecticut (Fairfield County, 60 miles from New York City) – Fellowship Teaching Opportunity

Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a non‑invasive Cardiologist to join our established and growing employed practice in Danbury, Connecticut. The practice includes thirteen cardiologists, six APRNs, and excellent support staff in addition to teaching rotations with our Cardiology Fellows. Danbury Hospital’s Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24‑hour interventional cardiology.

Cardiac services at the hospital include Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and the Arrhythmia Center. Our Cardiac Surgery Program includes TAVR. Part‑time scheduling options are available.

Location
We are located in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York. Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is also about 60 miles northeast of New York City. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four‑season recreational activities.

Surrounded by a number of quaint towns, the area offers a variety of excellent housing and highly rated public and private school options and universities. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible via car or train.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible in Cardiology and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. New and recent graduates are welcome to apply, including 2026 candidates.

Responsibilities
The position includes inpatient work at Danbury Hospital and outpatient office services in our main office in the Medical Arts Building next to the hospital campus. Additional responsibilities include faculty duties with our Cardiology Fellows.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and generous allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a sign‑on bonus, retention bonus, and relocation allowance.

Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year.
