Emergency Physician - Per Diem

Description Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a per diem Emergency Physician to be based at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT, located about 70 miles northeast of New York City.

Danbury Hospital’s Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24-hour interventional cardiology. We treat about 70,000 patients annually, with approximately 900 trauma cases. Our ER team includes 22 physicians and 14 physician assistants providing 24/7 coverage at both Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine. This is an employed position with a collegial and stable team. We offer a highly competitive hourly rate.

Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital. It is part of Nuvance Health, serving 1.5 million residents across New York and Connecticut and includes a large network of affiliated practices and multiple hospitals.

Provide a variety of clinical medical services to patients presenting to the Hospital's emergency department, including evaluation and management.

• MD or DO with successful completion of Emergency Medicine Residency
• CT State license, CSR and Federal Narcotic Use Registration (DEA)
• New Emergency Medicine Residency Graduates are encouraged to apply if considering a full-time position with us in the future.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Willing to work about 2 variable shifts per month as needed
• Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS required.

Salary: $225-$250/hr depending upon shift
