Regional VP, Cardiology for the Northwell Cardiovascular Institute and Chief of Cardiology for Danbury Hospital and New Milford. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary with a deep commitment to clinical excellence, academic advancement, and strategic program development.
We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished physician leader with a proven track record of progressive leadership within an academic and/or complex healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be a board‑certified cardiologist (any sub‑specialty) with a minimum of 8‑10 years of experience. The individual should possess exceptional interpersonal and strategic planning skills and have the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and integrate local initiatives with broader regional strategic initiatives.
The candidate should be able to thrive on collaboration and be dedicated to advancing clinical excellence, academic distinction, and compassionate patient care while elevating cardiovascular services.
Play a crucial role in shaping the future of cardiovascular care across the region, including the Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut, with strong collaboration with the Northwell Cardiovascular Institute.
- Driving standardization of best practices, clinical protocols, and quality metrics.
- Identifying and implementing innovative care delivery models and technologies.
- Facilitating collaboration and integration across the region and system.
- Participating in system‑wide strategic planning for the Cardiovascular Institute, contributing to its overall mission and growth.
- Serving as a key liaison between site‑based cardiology and the broader Northwell Cardiovascular Institute.
Provide comprehensive clinical, operational, and strategic oversight for the Division of Cardiology at both Danbury and New Milford Hospitals.
- Oversee clinical cardiology services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, quality, and safety.
- Recruitment, mentorship, and professional development of a high‑performing team of cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and other team members.
- Strategic planning for program growth, technology adoption, and service expansion.
- Fostering a collaborative and collegial environment within the department and across other medical specialties.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Supporting the academic mission, including training, research, and innovation.
Approximately 50% effort will be toward clinical cardiology, commensurate with the individual’s training and expertise.
