Position: Para educator position near Danbury, CT
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Para educator to support students in a school setting. This role includes both 1:1 support and classroom assistance, working closely alongside lead teachers and supervisors to create a positive and structured learning environment.

The Para educator will assist in the supervision and instruction of students receiving special education services, following guidelines outlined in the Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Responsibilities include supporting student learning, reinforcing educational objectives, and helping students develop academic, social, and behavioral skills.

Candidates must have prior experience in a school-based behavioral or special education setting, or directly related experience working with similar populations. Flexibility is essential, as student needs may vary throughout the day. Applicants should also be comfortable assisting with toileting when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and classroom support to students
• Assist teachers in implementing IEP goals and behavior plans
• Support student engagement and learning outcomes
• Help maintain a safe, structured classroom environment

Position Details:

• Full-time hours
• Competitive pay: $18-$24 per hour (based on experience)
