LocationVarious sites within the district, evaluation team.
HoursMonday–Thursday, July 6 2026 – July 30 2026. 7:15 am – 11:45 am for ESY BDLC/M.S. Scope/ M.S. & H.S. Essential Skills/CBT/5‑12 Resource Room. Hours may vary depending on assignment/site.
7:45 am – 12:45 pm Tuesday–Thursday, July 6 2026 – July 30 2026 for ESY K‑5 Inclusion: E.S. Essential Skills & E.S. SCOPE: E.S. Self‑Contained Resource Room.
Monday–Thursday, July 6 2026 – July 30 2026 for ESY Pre‑K: 7:45 am – 10:30 am/11:00 am – 1:45 pm. Hours may vary.
Monday–Friday, July 6 2026 – July 31 2026 for ESY Autism and CBL Programs:
Elementary 7:45 am – 1:45 pm, Middle/High 7:15 am – 1:15 pm. Hours may vary.
Mandatory professional learning on July 2 from 9:00 – 11:00 am (Google Meet link to follow).
Reports ToEAS or ESY Site Administrator.
Job Description- Develop lessons based on IEP goals and objectives to meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide direct instruction using a variety of techniques.
- Communicate with the school team, parents, guardians and outside agencies regarding student progress.
- Ensure modification and accommodations are implemented throughout the day.
- Manage student behavior; follow behavior plans, implement behavior contracts, set up classroom behavior plans.
- Use district-approved tools to design small group instruction.
- Provide differentiated instruction based on identified student needs.
- Maintain student attendance and progress data.
- Complete ESY progress reports at the end of the program, upload to CT-SEDS and provide to parents/guardians/surrogates.
- Use technologies as appropriate to the learning needs of the student.
- Be able to effectively use Google Classroom, Kami, and navigate Atlas curriculum sites.
- Other duties assigned by the summer school administrator.
- Preferred candidates will be considered for employment.
Applicants must have appropriate special education certification for the position.
SalaryPer WTA Contract. Maximum hours are stated above.
Working Conditions, Physical and Mental RequirementsEmployees must have adequate physical strength, stamina, agility and visual and auditory acuity and must maintain such fitness. A physical examination may be required.
