Required Qualifications:

• Active CT Educator Certificate with a Special Education endorsement
• Experience working in a self-contained classroom, open to all grade levels
• Passion for individualized instruction and student advocacy
• Proven ability to adapt lessons to a range of learning styles and needs
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction in a self-contained classroom for the full school year (August 24, 2026 May 21, 2027; subject to change)
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Track progress and document student growth, adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster a welcoming, safe, and productive learning environment
• Work onsite as a valued member of the educational team
• Collaborate with staff, administration, and families to support student success

This full-time role averages 30-32.5 hours per week, providing stability and the chance to build strong relationships with the students you serve.
