The College is seeking part‑time lecturers to teach Liberal Arts & Education courses. Ideal candidates include recent retirees, career switchers, or those eager to teach.
Key Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses in accordance with approved course descriptions and schedules.
- Evaluate and assess student learning outcomes.
- Provide student support, mentoring, and academic advising.
- Develop curriculum and periodically review instructional materials.
- Maintain accurate student records and be available for student conferences as needed.
- Each semester maximum 16 weeks with 80 scheduled days of instruction and evaluation.
- Teach up to 8 credits per semester within the CSCC system.
- Master's degree or higher in subject matter or closely related field.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- At least one year of college‑level teaching experience (24+ credits).
- Experience using technology to enhance learning (e.g., Blackboard, online instruction, or related software).
$2,112 per contact/credit hour ($6,336 for a 3‑credit course).
