Job Overview
Western Connecticut State University’s Ancell School of Business, AACSB accredited, seeks an Instructor/Assistant Professor, non-tenure track, one‑year special appointment for the Finance Department for the academic year.
ResponsibilitiesTeach four classes per semester in finance-related courses such as Principles of Finance, Business Statistics, Business Data Analytics, Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management, Financial Engineering, and related courses. Provide student academic advising and perform additional service duties as required.
QualificationsInstructor level requires a master’s degree in finance or a related field and substantial experience in finance. Assistant Professor level requires a doctorate in finance or an earned doctorate in a related field. ABDs in finance or related fields considered. College teaching experience preferred. Candidates should be professionally active and engaged in service or business experience.
Salary & BenefitsThe hiring salary range is $71,317–$76,192 for Instructor and $80,713–$86,231 for Assistant Professor, commensurate with experience. WCSU does not sponsor work visas. The university offers a comprehensive benefits package and access to travel/research funds.
