Western Connecticut State University’s Ancell School of Business, an AACSB accredited School, is pleased to accept applications for a special one-year appointment as an Instructor/Assistant Professor, non-tenure track, in the Accounting Department. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising students, and participating in academic service activities.

QualificationsFor the Instructor level: a master’s degree, CPA licensure, and substantial accounting experience. For the Assistant Professor level: a doctorate in accounting or in a related field (ABDs in accounting or related fields considered). College teaching experience is preferred. Candidates should be professionally active, engaged in service or business/managerial experience, and have expertise in Financial, Managerial, Cost, Taxation, or Advanced Accounting.
The teaching load is four courses per semester, with additional duties in student advising and service.
A candidate who does not fully meet the above standards may be considered if credentials and experience are substantially comparable.
Salary & BenefitsInstructor: $71,317-$76,192. Assistant Professor: $80,713-$86,231. Salaries are commensurate with experience. WCSU offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous travel or research funds. WCSU cannot sponsor work visas. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.
