Job Description & How to Apply Below
Join a high‑energy engineering organization developing advanced valve and fluid‑control technologies for demanding real‑world applications. As a Project Engineer, you will combine strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with project leadership skills to drive products from early concept through development, qualification, release, and sustained production.
You’ll manage technical scope, schedules, cross‑functional coordination, and overall project execution—while still contributing hands‑on engineering expertise in design, analysis, testing, and problem‑solving. If you excel at bringing structure to complex development efforts and enjoy guiding products through every stage of their lifecycle, this role is a strong match.
What You’ll Do Project & Lifecycle Leadership- Lead engineering programs for new and existing valve and fluid‑control products from concept through release and production.
- Create and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, and status reporting.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities across design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and test teams.
- Drive design reviews, technical checkpoints, and program alignment across stakeholders.
- Contribute to the design and development of mechanical components using advanced 3D CAD.
- Generate detailed drawings, select materials, and apply GD&T for production‑ready designs.
- Plan and execute validation and qualification testing, including documentation, data analysis, and reporting.
- Identify, track, and mitigate technical risks throughout the development cycle.
- Partner with suppliers to optimize manufacturability, inspection methods, test procedures, and tooling.
- Support prototype builds, pilot runs, design changes, and continuous improvement activities.
- Enhance engineering workflows, documentation standards, and development tools to improve efficiency.
- Contribute to sustaining engineering and lifecycle management of existing product lines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or project engineering.
- Proven ability to lead engineering projects, manage schedules, and drive cross‑functional execution.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and creating detailed drawings.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design‑for‑production principles.
- Comfortable with hands‑on prototyping and experimental testing.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experienced in structured product development environments and lifecycle management.
- Able to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Willing to travel occasionally.
- Experience with SAP, PLM systems, or engineering data management tools.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX or similar CAD platforms.
- FEA, CFD, or other advanced analysis skills.
- Familiarity with agile tools (Jira, Confluence) or agile hardware development practices.
- Background in HVAC, actuators, or fluid mechanics.
