We’re hiring a Traveling Project Coordinator to help keep building controls (BAS) projects organized and moving across multiple job sites. You’ll support the Project Manager and field teams by coordinating schedules, tracking materials, maintaining project documentation, and helping drive commissioning/turnover activities. The primary work location for this role is at the company headquarters in Danbury, CT
. This is a travel-required role (
up to 50%) and fits someone who’s comfortable on construction sites, familiar with building controls, and can “translate” between technicians, contractors, and customers.
Coordinate multi-site schedules and day-to-day execution so field work happens in the right order and at the right time.
- Manage communication: set up meetings, document decisions,
track action items
, and follow through until resolved
. - Track controls materials/
logistics to prevent delays and avoid wasted site trips. - Maintain project documentation and logs, including submittals
, RFIs
, change tracking, and closeout packages. - Support technical coordination for controls deliverables (as applicable): organize point lists, device lists, naming conventions, and site readiness items (logistics, access, equipment installed).
- Assist with startup/commissioning planning coordination
, punchlists, training support, and final turnover documentation.
- Experience coordinating construction/MEP/HVAC/controls projects (or similar fast-moving field coordination work).
- Working knowledge of building controls/BAS concepts—enough to communicate effectively with technicians and customers.
- Strong organization, follow-up, and documentation skills; comfort traveling frequently and working on active job sites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Excel/Outlook/Teams/Planner. Planner is used as the primary means of project tracking.
