THE WORK
The Avionics/Flight Controls/SW Program Manager manages the development programs impacting the 53K Domestic Platform. This includes customer engagement in managing their overarching software/hardware roadmap.
The scope includes being the single point of contact for all software integration related inquiries, strategy development and ensuring contract commitments and customer objectives are achievable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing 53K Avionics/Flight Controls platform roadmap
- Developing and maintaining business metrics
- Coordinating pre-proposal activities (Planned Future Actions) with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
- Oversight of contract efforts, engineering changes, purchase requirement generation and part procurement
WHO YOU ARE
The Avionics/Flight Controls/SW Program Manager is part of the Program Management team and will report directly to the Deputy Program Manager - Domestic. There will also be cross-functional coordination with Program Planning, Finance, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations. This individual will be responsible for preparing presentations, briefing the NAVAIR customer and internal leadership.
Additional responsibilities include coordination of internal resources, development of detailed project plans, measurement of project performance, and performance of risk analysis, all in support of flawless execution. As the CH-53K transitions into production, technical issue resolution is paramount in the quest to deliver the only helicopter in the world with the capability to travel 100 miles ship to shore with 27,000 lbs.

Qualifications- Previous Sikorsky PM experience
- Familiarization with Avionic Systems, Flight Controls, or Aircraft Assembly preferred
- Ability to work and integrate with technical team members to understand all aspects of the product being developed/produced and the earned value implications.
