We are seeking an EDM Manufacturing Engineer to support prototype and production programs within a medical device manufacturing environment. This role will focus on Wire EDM
, Sinker EDM
, process development
, and rapid prototyping while driving product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop and optimize Wire EDM/Sinker EDM manufacturing processes for prototype and production programs.
- Program, set up, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to ensure product quality and process stability.
- Support rapid prototyping activities and transition new products into full-scale production.
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, setup sheets, and quality records.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–6 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering within a Medical Device environment.
- Hands‑on experience with Wire EDM or Sinker EDM machining, setup, and programming.
- Experience with process development
, manufacturing optimization, and rapid prototyping. - Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work with GD&T standards.
- Experience with CAD software and computer‑controlled measurement/inspection systems preferred.
