Lake Compounce - Seasonal Events & Entertainment Supervisor; Daytime Halloween Events

As the Events & Entertainment Supervisor, you will support the planning and execution of events, shows, character interactions, and atmospheric entertainment to complement park-wide content and increase guest satisfaction.

• Supervise daily operations of the Events & Entertainment team and assigned departments.
• Lead by example, embodying Lake Compounce core values.
• Mentor and coach hosts, ensuring compliance with company and industry best practices.
• Assist with training, performance coaching, and discipline as needed.
• Maintain adherence to Connecticut law regarding meal and break times.
• Help schedule and time‑keep team activities.
• Collaborate with park and corporate events leadership to evaluate and improve event strategies.
• Conceptualize, plan, and execute multiple events concurrently.
• Maintain the park event calendar and coordinate with Sales & Marketing promotions.
• Assist with the execution of live stage shows and performances.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety policies during events.
• Manage event activation operations for scheduled in‑park events.
• Communicate and coordinate with operations teams before, during, and after events.
• Identify and resolve unexpected issues during events; provide creative solutions.
• Escalate maintenance issues, safety hazards, or emergencies promptly.
• Perform other duties assigned by leadership.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in shows, acting, choreography, or performance events.
• Minimum 18 years of age, complying with Connecticut child labor laws.
• Fluent English; bilingual Spanish or other languages a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights up to 12AM during events.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to resolve questions in a positive manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment while meeting deadlines.
• Team‑player capable of multi‑tasking and managing competing priorities.

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday.
• Occasional sedentary periods while using a computer.
• Ability to stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders as required.
• Capacity to lift, push, pull, or hold objects weighing up to 50pounds.
• Capability to climb or descend stairs or ladders safely.
• Work will involve frequent interaction with both indoor and outdoor park areas.
• Regular exposure to variable outdoor temperatures, high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and traffic.
• Exposure to constant interruptions, changing priorities, repetitive motion, noise, flashing lights, and crowded environments.
