An exciting role as a Recruiting & Talent Development Manager based in our Danbury, Connecticut location.
The Recruiting & Talent Development Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s recruiting efforts while supporting employee performance, development, and retention initiatives. This role serves as a key partner to hiring managers and leadership, managing the full recruitment lifecycle from workforce planning and sourcing through interviewing, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
In addition to recruiting, this position supports the ongoing development and performance of employees by helping managers establish performance expectations, identify development opportunities, and create a culture of continuous feedback and growth.
You offer… Recruiting & Talent Acquisition-Primary Responsibility
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for professional, administrative, technical, and/or operational positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job descriptions, establish hiring criteria, and create effective recruitment strategies.
- Source, identify, screen, and evaluate qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, social media, referrals, recruiting agencies, and other talent pipelines.
- Conduct initial candidate interviews and assessments and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and leadership.
- Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience.
- Coordinate background checks, references, pre-employment requirements, and offer processes.
- Prepare and extend employment offers and assist with offer negotiations in accordance with company guidelines.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
- Build relationships with passive candidates and develop strategies to attract high-quality talent.
- Track recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and other recruiting metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, reduce time-to-fill, and increase quality of hire.
- Partner with leadership to support workforce planning and anticipate future hiring needs.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, college recruiting events, and other talent acquisition activities.
- Ensure recruiting practices are consistent, equitable, and compliant with applicable employment laws and company policies.
- Coordinate and improve the new-hire onboarding process to support successful employee integration and retention.
- Support the organization’s performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, development planning, and ongoing feedback.
- Partner with managers to establish clear and measurable employee performance expectations.
- Coach managers on providing effective feedback and addressing performance concerns.
- Help employees and managers identify professional development and career growth opportunities.
- Assist in developing individual development plans and coordinating training and learning opportunities.
- Support employee engagement, retention, career development, and internal mobility initiatives.
- Assist with talent reviews, succession planning, and identification of high-potential employees.
- Analyze employee performance and development trends and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain appropriate documentation related to performance and development activities.
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers regarding recruiting, onboarding, performance, development, and general HR matters.
