Data Analyst, Data Science Manager

Job Responsibilities- Build strong partnerships and engage with senior business leaders to design best-in-class analytics solutions to support their strategic objectives.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams and share ideas to solve complex business problems.
- Lead initiatives that automate manual or inefficient business processes, increasing underwriter and partner productivity using GenAI and prompt engineering.
- Build strong partnerships with peers across the organization to support project goals and boarder team needs.
- Guide the development of powerful insights and tools using a variety of analytical techniques and technologies.
- Work with stakeholders to implement sophisticated analytics models in existing workflows and systems.
- Work collaboratively with business partners to develop business rules, to facilitate model-based actions.
- Monitor model adoption and effectiveness of business rules; facilitate revision to business rules as necessary.
- Lead discussions with executive management team about Strategic Analytics projects.
- Support, mentor and develop the growing Strategic Analytics team on holistic, business aspects of projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to convey complex concepts to people across the organization.
- Exceptional teamwork skills required to play a key role in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships with business partners.
- Natural curiosity to understand the world around you and question as needed.
- Comfortable handling ambiguous concepts and breaking down complex problems into manageable pieces.

- Strong leadership skills.
- A sound understanding of how predictive modeling, data mining and other advanced analytical techniques can be used to solve business problems.
- Demonstrable ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams involving modeling, IT and underwriting or claims professionals to design implementation plans for advanced analytics tools.
- P&C insurance experience, including knowledge and understanding of property and casualty products, pricing, underwriting guidelines and concepts, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
- Extensive experience coaching and developing leaders.
- Minimum of 7 years of direct management experience.
- A degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering or similar quantitative fields; or significant experience managing or directing advanced data analytics projects.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience leading a data science/research team.
For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$200,000 - $230,000/year
- Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
