Location: Danbury, CT Area (Hybrid Schedule Available)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: $95,000 – $115,000 base salary + 15% bonus
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Team Leader to oversee procurement operations, supplier relationships, and sourcing initiatives for a global manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring a reliable supply of materials and components while leading a team and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on leader with strong experience in purchasing, supplier management, and manufacturing operations.
Supply Chain Team Lead Responsibilities- Manage procurement activities across raw materials, components, finished goods, and services
- Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization efforts
- Build and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers
- Ensure consistent supply availability and support production needs
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Lead, coach, and develop supply chain team members
- Identify new suppliers and evaluate performance using cost, quality, and delivery metrics
- Resolve supplier or internal supply issues and support cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within manufacturing
- Strong background in supplier management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation
- Experience working with global suppliers and manufacturing organizations
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong data analysis skills
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor teams
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Technical or engineering background (such as mechanical) is a plus
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are beneficial but not required
