The Senior Operations Manager in Danbury is a key leader responsible for driving efficient, seamless operations across our customizing, warehouse, and logistics teams. In this role, you will directly oversee the managers of each department and guide a workforce of more than 200 skilled employees, cultivating a collaborative, high‑performing environment where people can do their best work. The Senior Operations Manager, Danbury reports directly to the Vice President, Logistics/ Customization Americas.
WhatYou'll Do
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the customizing, warehouse, and logistics departments, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
- Manage and oversee daily operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, assembly processes, and shipping.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving lean initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate a diverse organization of 200+ individuals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Plan and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and efficient allocation of materials and human resources.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- 7+ years of proven experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused driven environment.
- Proficiency in using technology and software applications relevant to operations management such as SAP S/4
HANA and SAP EWM. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,000 - $165,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 20% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. Belimo is a total compensation company which includes a comprehensive benefits package including a full range of medical, financial, and other competitive benefits.
