Location:
Danbury, CTA day in the build bay Picture starting your shift with a quick huddle, the day's build travelers in hand. You review prints, prep your tools, and begin bringing components together with care. Mid-morning, you pause to verify tolerances, documenting results before moving to the next subassembly. After collaborating with a teammate to refine a fixture setup, you tidy your bench and make a note of an improvement idea for the supervisor.
Training wraps your day as you add a new technique to your toolkit.
What you'll do Build components and final assemblies by following engineering drawings, specs, and work instructions.
Perform in-process and final quality checks to confirm products meet defined standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively throughout each build.
Partner with peers to streamline assembly steps and increase throughput without sacrificing quality.
Keep your work area organized to support safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Record process details, update travelers/logs, and promptly escalate issues to supervisors.
Join ongoing training and skill-development sessions to broaden your capabilities.
What you bring
High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in manufacturing assembly environments.
Sharp attention to detail and a track record of following instructions precisely.
Comfort working with common hand tools and assembly equipment.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a team.
Clear communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
Growth mindset with willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
