Assembler; 3rd shift

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for assembler positions on the third shift at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. These are temp-to-hire positions.

The hours are 10:30 p.m.

-7 a.m., Sunday-Thursday. Candidates must be available to train on the first or second shift. The salary is $23 an hour.

• Accurately picking necessary parts for production orders
• Assemble, check and package sub-components and finished products according to instruction, production order, work and inspection instructions as well as drawings in a quality and schedule-minded fashion
• Perform computer and administrative work such as order printing and label creation
• Coordinate transport arrangements with shipping
• Mount items necessary for fulfilling assembly orders of sub-components and finished products
• Maintain order at the workplace, in the storage locations, and in rooms of general use
• Temporary assignments as floater in different assembly teams
• Cooperation within assembly team
• Handle the more complex assemblies
• Backup line leader when needed
• Provide training for other assemblers
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 or more years of assembly experience
• Experience working overnight shift
• Mechanical ability necessary
• Able to work well in small team
• Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including heavy lifting
• Able to operate computers and electronic test equipment
• Able to handle time constraints and deadlines, and prioritize work
