RVNAhealth is seeking a self‑motivated, compassionate RN to join our Nurse‑Family Partnership (NFP) team. This evidence‑based, community health program transforms the lives of parents and their children by providing vital home‑based nursing support from pregnancy through the child’s second birthday.
As a Nurse Home Visitor
, you will work directly with eligible individuals and families, delivering nursing education in the home setting. You’ll play a pivotal role in promoting healthier pregnancies, stronger parent‑child relationships, early childhood development, and long‑term family success.
- Visit clients in their homes
- Work remotely between visits
- Travel required within the Waterbury/Danbury region
- Flexible schedule
- Full‑time schedule of 37.5 hours per week
- Occasional evening or weekend visits required to meet client needs (scheduled in advance by nurse; flex time provided)
- Work with diverse populations impacted by economic and health disparities
- Spanish‑speaking candidates highly preferred
- Extensive training and support are provided
- Education‑based nursing position; minimal hands‑on nursing care
- Provide regular home visits to pregnant individuals and their families
- Educate clients on prenatal health, nutrition, infant care, child development, and goal setting
- Adhere to the NFP model and the nursing process
- Carry a caseload of up to 25 clients
- Participate in initial and ongoing NFP education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners and community resources
- Provide regular home visits to pregnant individuals and their families
- Educate clients on prenatal health, nutrition, infant care, child development, and goal setting
- Adhere to the NFP model and the nursing process
- Carry a caseload of up to 25 clients
- Participate in initial and ongoing NFP education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners and community resources
- Current RN license in good standing and CPR certification required at time of hire
- Two years of recent experience in maternal/child health, public health, behavioral health, or home visiting preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and basic computer skills
- Spanish language fluency highly preferred
- Individual must be self‑directed, enjoy flexibility, and be comfortable with variety and unpredictability in daily work
- Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel throughout the specified area

CompensationOur target pay range for this position is $86,000 to $90,480 per year. This pay range represents RVNAhealth’s commitment to pay transparency and is a reasonable estimate of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s exact location, experience, and expertise related to the qualifications.
