About This Role

The Travel RN Registered Nurse in the PACU at Northwell Health is responsible for providing age-specific care for patients using the nursing process. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking for a contract position with a focus on patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

• Pay: $3046/week
• Location: Danbury, CT
• Facility: Northwell Health
• Schedule: Full-Time

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
• Implement the plan of care and maintain patient safety.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required
• BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed
