About This Role
The Travel Registered Nurse in Med Surg/Tele at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking for flexible staffing opportunities.

- Assess the patient's physiologic health status.
- Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
- Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
- Assess level of pain and pain management.
- Communicate and document patient's physiologic health status and plan of care.
- Assess patient's psychosocial health status.
- Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
- Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
- Implement the plan of care while ensuring safety precautions.
- Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes.
Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
Licenses &
Certifications:
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required. BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
