Shift: 4x10 hour night shift 9:00pm-7:30am Monday thru Friday (variable)
Control hours: 40
SummaryResponsible for assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency, continuing education, and leadership development at Danbury and New Milford Norwalk Hospital.
Requirements- Minimum 5 years in specialized nursing field.
- Master’s Degree in nursing required.
- Knowledge in DOH (CT) nursing practice requirements.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation requirements for the Division of Patient Care Services.
- Experienced in delivering group presentation.
- Current and unobstructed Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
- Certificate in BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider status required.
- Instructor in AHA training in one area (BLS, ACLS, PALS – must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- Nursing certification preferred.
