Perosphere Technologies is hiring a Research Associate to join the team based in Danbury, CT! This will be an onsite role, 5 days a week.
About Perosphere TechnologiesPerosphere is an emerging medical device company which designs, develops and manufactures a diagnostic medical device with addresses an unmet need in a critical medical market. The company’s technology provides an innovative approach to management of critical medical conditions related to hemostasis, i.e., blood coagulation and therapeutic anticoagulation. The Senior Quality Engineeer will play a central and key role in the company’s global market penetration by leading ambitious programs for both company and device certifications and registrations in the USA and on a global basis.
The incumbent is a key member of middle management and works side-by-side with the Executive Leadership Team to plan, execute and deliver on these strategic objectives.
The Research Associate will be working as a member of the R&D team at our Danbury site, supporting R&D projects across R&D sites, including pre-clinical and clinical studies. The role will also encompass support of additional company sites and training of end users/clinical partners on operation of PoC Coagulometer. As such, travel up to 40% of the time is required. Responsibilities will include monitoring clinical trials, ensuring compliance with protocols, and collecting accurate data.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of clinical research processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The primary duties of Research Associates are to plan and conduct research.
- Support ongoing preclinical & R&D work on further in-vitro validation of Perosphere Clot Check.
- Work to design and execute clinical trials or studies.
- Assist in patient screening, clinical documentation, sample handling, sample running, data collection and record keeping.
- Work closely with clinical trial participants, medical professionals, and other clinical research staff to test the effects of new medical devices before going on the market.
- Assist in maintaining R&D inventory of Perosphere Clot Check, cuvettes, whole blood controls and other components of the Perosphere Clot Check platform.
- Create clinical trial schedules and maintain up-to-date records on trial participants, legal documents, and health forms.
- Summarize and present data using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Communicating with senior researchers to understand challenges and potential solutions.
- BS degree required, MS degree preferred, in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or related engineering/scientific field.
- Familiarity with GCP and regulatory guidelines.
- Previous experience in basic laboratory research.
- Knowledge in analytical method and assay development.
- Strong awareness of chemistry/bio laboratory instruments
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to research and clinical sites, as needed.
