As a Lush Store Manager, you are a true leader who embodies our core values in all you do. You motivate your team, interact with customers, and make important business decisions while keeping in mind:

Responsibilities:
- Recruiting your team
- Training and developing your management team
- Training and developing your team on brand, product, and service
You oversee all aspects of the retail business, from managing budgets to exceeding sales targets. You create an environment that fosters a strong customer experience, staff experience, and operational excellence, and you continuously seek feedback and opportunities to grow.
Responsibilities- Customer Service: collaborate with your team on plans to exceed daily sales goals and ensure a unique and inclusive customer experience
- Building the Brand: educate customers and staff on brand values and our positions on Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging
- Product Passion: deepen product knowledge and make informed recommendations
- Driving Sales: develop and execute business plans to achieve short- and long-term goals and improve KPIs
- Leadership Practices and Staff Development: coach and develop the team, create development plans, provide constructive feedback
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: maintain a diverse team and an inclusive environment; prioritize DEIB training
- Engagement and Performance: analyze performance concerns and create action plans to improve engagement with empathy
- Recruitment and Selection: build diverse teams and ensure transparency and equity in interviews and promotions
- Policies and Procedures: ensure training compliance, time and attendance, breaks, product integrity, respectful workplace, anti-harassment and anti-discrimination, health and safety, daily communication within budget
- Stock and Inventory: train staff, manage ordering, and use inventory reports to plan and reduce waste within budget
- Visuals and Merchandising: create merchandising plans and train staff to maintain a clean, attractive store and consistent customer experience
- Scheduling, Time, and Attendance: schedule staff to meet peak times and manage breaks within labor budget
Required:
- 3-5 years managing in a retail environment
- Strong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
- Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends
Preferred:
- Experience with consultation-based customer service models
- Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback
- Strong track record of developing retail staff careers
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and adaptable to other systems
- Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
- Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
