As an Ambassador you are an exceptional colleague who drives sales by connecting with customers, sharing vendor product knowledge, upselling, and suggesting additional items. You cultivate repeat clientele, serve as the expert for your vendor/brand area, communicate customer needs and shopping patterns to leadership and vendors, and execute strategic merchandising initiatives.

• Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority
• Greet customers, make product recommendations, and upsell
• Serve as a liaison between designated vendors, personal stylists, and store leadership
• Maintain a neat, clean sales floor with proper signage for sales and markdowns
• Create and implement best practices to drive sales, turnover, and gross margin above company average
• Build brand‑specific clientele to support local marketing
• Execute vendor and non‑vendor events to increase sales
• Plan, organize, and lead customer‑facing vendor‑sponsored events in partnership with the vendor community, ensuring sales and participation goals are met
• Use Macy’s point‑of‑sale systems and company devices to wrap up sales efficiently
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities

• Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, and frequent radio‑frequency equipment
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
• Minimum 1 year previous selling or retail experience required

• This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
• Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
• Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions
