Area Sales Manager
Location:
New York / Connecticut / Boston Area
Leading the area sales team and managing a portfolio of accounts within the assigned territory.
What you will be doing:- Lead, motivate, and hold a team of sales professionals accountable to generate profitable growth.
- Ensure the sales team meets or exceeds sales and margin targets by setting goals, monitoring progress, and coaching team members.
- Create sales plans and KPIs for the assigned geographic area to meet or exceed objectives.
- Maintain and increase existing revenue streams for the area.
- Utilize a CRM tool and sales funnel to lead and manage sales activity for the team and self.
- Promote sales of bulk and/or packaged medical gases and other growth programs within the area.
- Retain existing business by maintaining strong relationships and communicating Linde’s value proposition.
- Manage contract renewals and share gains at designated accounts.
- Coach team members on providing services consistent with the value proposition.
- Negotiate multi‑year product supply agreements with new accounts.
- Ensure accurate account set‑up and pricing data.
- Collaborate with the collections representative to resolve slow‑pay accounts.
- Promote technology offerings strategically to achieve competitive advantage and optimal gross margin.
- Identify and remove barriers that hinder team achievement of goals.
- Report sales progress, successes, and challenges to the General Sales Manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree (required).
- At least 5 years of outside sales experience in B2B healthcare or gas industry.
- Proven sales process skills in a business environment with a 6–18 month sales cycle.
- Well‑organized, excellent problem‑solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $132,000, depending on experience.
