Job Description:
- Responsible for sales of Simple Western and Cellular Analysis instruments, related systems, and consumables to customers within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the portfolio to increase sales and grow market share in the territory.
- Achieve sales targets through application of consultative selling methods.
- Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts.
- Work closely with the full Commercial Team to ensure a coordinated approach to customers and promote all solutions Bio-Techne can provide.
- Field sales located in the assigned territory and visiting customers 75% of the time.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for instruments and reagents.
- Use to manage all active leads, customers, and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced) in a science related field required
- 5+ years of sales experience in the Life Science tools space
- 2+ years selling in related market and space
- High value capital equipment sales experience
- Understanding of customer workflows and the applications supported in research, development, and production of pharmaceutical drugs and biologics
- Broad understanding of a variety of scientific techniques and research areas of interest (e.g., Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, High-Value Capital Equipment)
- Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Proficiency in executing value-based sales techniques, including prospecting, building relationships, and presenting tailored solutions.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on understanding buyer needs and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Ability to map key accounts, identify business potential, and execute territory business plans.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and time & territory management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving.
- Capable and interested in working in a team environment
- Highly motivated, independent, with a strong desire to succeed.
