Role Overview
As a B2B Outside Sales Representative on the Genius® team, you will bring innovative payment solutions to business owners, drive new business growth, and shape client success in your territory.
Responsibilities- Drive new business growth by creating opportunities through field outreach, digital engagement, and local networking.
- Own the full sales cycle, turning conversations into revenue and delivering consistent results in your territory.
- Build trusted relationships with business owners, positioning yourself as a go‑to advisor who understands their goals.
- Deliver compelling, value‑driven presentations that show how Genius® improves operations, increases loyalty and fuels growth.
- Shape your territory strategy using market insights, strengthening your pipeline and accelerating deal momentum.
- Expand Global Payments’ impact by introducing innovative solutions that help businesses operate smarter and grow faster.
- Strengthen long‑term client value through upsell and cross‑sell opportunities, and deepen relationships.
- Spend up to 75% of your time in the field, creating meaningful face‑to‑face connections that drive results.
- At least one year of success in B2B or B2C outside sales, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both in person and virtually.
- Ability to build relationships quickly and earn trust with business owners.
- A competitive, self‑driven mindset with the energy to achieve and exceed goals.
- Ability to think like a client and connect solutions to real business outcomes.
- Valid driver’s license and comfort spending up to 75% of the time in the field.
- Residence within two hours of the territory to stay connected and responsive.
- Bonus:
Experience upselling and cross‑selling existing merchants on new features, software add‑ons, and hardware upgrades. - Bonus:
Experience working with the restaurant or retail industries. - Bonus:
Two full years of B2B outside sales experience, preferably in fintech, merchant services or SaaS.
Base salary: $50,000 per year. On‑target earnings (OTE) range: $90,000–$150,000 plus residual income and performance bonuses.
