Adecco Permanent Recruitment is actively searching for a Sales Application Specialist for a well-established, family-owned industrial manufacturing company based in Danbury, CT.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious, customer-focused professional who wants to build a career within a growing manufacturing organization. The position combines customer interaction, quoting, estimating, sales support, and product learning.
Open to candidates from a variety of B2B sales and customer-facing backgrounds and is prepared to train the right person on the technical and product side of the business. The company is experiencing significant growth, and this role offers long-term opportunities to develop into more complex applications work, outside sales, sales leadership, or other areas within the organization.
Onsite Position – Danbury, CT. Typical hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential flexibility for an 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM schedule.
Responsibilities:- Handle incoming customer calls, emails, and sales opportunities.
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate parts, products, or solutions.
- Prepare pricing, quotations, estimates, and formal written proposals.
- Support straightforward parts and catalog requests while developing the knowledge to handle more complex applications over time.
- Obtain and coordinate vendor pricing when necessary to support customer quotations.
- Communicate pricing, product information, and proposal details directly to customers and sales representatives.
- Review customer requirements, specifications, and technical information as needed to support quotations and proposals.
- Help qualify incoming opportunities and route requests to the appropriate internal team when necessary.
- Identify opportunities to provide replacement parts, additional products, and proactive customer support.
- Complete the initial processing of incoming purchase orders before handing orders to Order Entry, Project Management, or other internal teams.
- Work closely with sales leadership and internal teams while developing knowledge of the company’s products, customers, and applications.
- B2B sales, inside sales, account management, customer service, business development, or other customer-facing experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work directly with customers and internal teams.
- Self-motivated personality with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibility.
- Natural curiosity and willingness to learn a technical product line and understand customer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage customer requests, quotations, proposals, and follow-up in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fully onsite environment.
- Ability to learn new software platforms and internal systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Experience with in B2B sales, industrial sales, manufacturing, equipment sales, parts sales, or a similar customer-facing environment.
- Experience working within a structured sales organization or formal sales training environment.
- Applications engineering, estimating, technical sales, or industrial distribution experience.
- Familiarity with mechanical or electrical products, technical drawings, CAD, HVAC, burners, boilers, or controls.
- Engineering or other technical education.
