** Position Summary*
* The Healthcare Security Officer helps provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff within a healthcare facility. This role focuses on safety, access control, and customer service while supporting the facility's policies and procedures.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Patrol assigned areas of the healthcare facility to deter and detect unsafe or suspicious activity.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify identification and control access as required.

+ Respond to security incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm and professional manner.

+ Assist clinical and administrative staff with patient, visitor, and staff safety as needed.

+ Document incidents and complete clear, accurate reports in a timely manner.

+ Enforce facility rules and regulations while treating everyone with dignity and respect.

+ Support fire safety and emergency procedures, including evacuations when required.

+ Use and care for any assigned safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.

+ Follow all Securitas and client health and safety policies, including reporting hazards and incidents.

** Qualifications*
* + Prior security experience preferred, especially in healthcare or similar environments.

+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

+ Ability to obtain and maintain any required state or local security licenses or certifications.

+ Strong communication and customer service skills.

+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.

+ Basic computer skills for incident reporting and email.
