Job Overview
Field Service Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing paint tinting equipment and systems in the field.
Responsibilities- Perform on‑site installation, startup, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of paint tinting equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic software issues.
- Follow established service procedures to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and meets quality standards.
- Serve as the primary technical representative at customer sites, communicating findings, recommendations, and next steps.
- Plan and manage daily service calls within an assigned territory to meet response time and service expectations.
- Accurately complete service reports, work orders, time entries, and expense reports using company systems.
- Manage tools, parts usage, travel, and expenses responsibly.
- Follow all safety policies and customer site safety requirements.
- Provide phone and remote technical support when not on‑site.
- Identify recurring equipment or process issues and share insights with service leadership, engineering, and product teams.
- Maintain current knowledge, certifications, and hands‑on experience as a technical expert for assigned products and applications.
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant field service experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on technical service, maintenance, or repair experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Customer‑focused mindset with clear, professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field‑based role.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory.
- Experience servicing industrial equipment or automated systems (preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technical service environments (preferred).
- Familiarity with service management systems and mobile service tools (preferred).
- Advanced technical training or certifications relevant to relevant products or industries served (preferred).
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
- Compensation: $21.92–$38.41 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits.
