Established over 145 years ago, our client is a privately‑owned heritage building contractor based in Essex with an excellent reputation for conservation expertise and quality. They work across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Kent and Hertfordshire, as well as into east, north and central London.

• Cut and shape stonework using hand and power tools, following templates and moulds to give textured or polished finishes (dressing) in accordance with design plans.
• Carve figures, lettering or pattern work when required.
• Cut out, lay, replace and indent natural stone dressings.
• Work with lime mortars, repointing and rebuild masonry walls.
• Follow and adhere to Health and Safety policy at all times.
• Work carefully and methodically.
• Read drawings and plans and maintain accurate dimensions.
• Show an eye for detail to ensure quality control and meet high standards.
• Work individually or as part of a team.

The company’s Church Works Department undertakes the restoration and repair of historical buildings, listed properties, castle ruins, cathedrals and monuments, working with both commercial and residential clients.
