E. Mitchell Co., Inc. is looking for full time Apprentice Mechanics. Candidates must be highly safety conscious, enthusiastic, detail oriented and well organized in order to ensure our vehicles are maintained to the highest level of safety and performance.

The Apprentice Mechanic will be responsible for learning the proper techniques for maintaining, diagnosting, testing and making repairs on a wide variety of vehicles and vehicle systems. Vehicles will include sedans, pick-up trucks, service vans, utility trucks with and without cranes, straight trucks, bobtails, tractors, trailers, dump trucks and construction equipment. Vehicle systems will include a/c, brakes, electrical, power train, suspension, tires, computer systems, metering systems, piping and tanks as well as body work and painting.

• Maintain outstanding customer service at all times
• Ensure the consistency and quality of each task performed
• Learn to perform vehicle inspections, diagnosis and repairs on all fleet vehicles and equipment
• Learn to perform all aspects of vehicle repairs by using various types of diagnostics and testing equipment
• Be responsible for the cleanliness of the area where work is performed
• Clearly communicate details of the vehicle service to the Fleet Supervisor and Fleet Manager
• Neatly and completely fill out service paperwork
• Other duties as assigned

• High school graduate. Mechanic trade schooling a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to build a professional tool set
• Able to work efficiently under direct supervision
• Able to work well under pressure and tight dead lines
• Work in accordance with established safety procedures

• $20.00 - $22.00 perhour
