Encon Heating & AC is seeking an Equipment Replacement Technician to join our Engineering & Maintenance team in our HVAC wholesale environment. In this field role, you'll remove and install residential and light commercial heating and cooling equipment, assist with piping and electrical connections, start up and test systems, and ensure safe, efficient operation. Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll support energy-efficient upgrades while maintaining clean job sites and clear customer communication.

Responsibilities

  • Remove and replace residential and light commercial HVAC equipment following manufacturer specs and company standards.
  • Assist with layout, piping, wiring, and mounting of furnaces, condensers, air handlers, and related components.
  • Perform start-up, testing, and basic troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient equipment operation.
  • Follow all safety procedures, maintain clean, organized job sites, and properly handle refrigerants and materials.
  • Document work performed and communicate clearly with customers and team members to ensure high service quality.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians to resolve complex issues and support energy-efficient system upgrades.
