Field Service Representative

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment at customer locations using tools, parts and technical diagrams
• Perform on-site preventive maintenance and inspection service work
• Perform call-out services and commissioning activities on turbo machinery and package systems
• Use test equipment to diagnose and identify malfunctions, referring to schematics and manufacturers' specifications
• Use hand tools, gauges and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts
• Utilize digital tools and systems
• Check common causes of trouble; clean and lubricate equipment as needed
• Perform routine installations and adjust equipment within normal procedures

• Degree or equivalent experience desired
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations
• Proactive approach and ability to seek out work and accomplish goals
• Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for recognizing, anticipating and resolving problems
• Knowledge of machines used in power plants; ability to conduct preventive maintenance and repair or replace faulty mechanical parts
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment and preventive maintenance in oil and gas; ability to repair or replace faulty mechanical parts
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC); ability to design, implement and operate automated process controls
• Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques
• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and physical fitness evaluation
• Clean driving record: no moving violations within the last 12 months, no "2 point" violations within the last 3 years, and no DUIs within the last 7 years
• Successfully complete physical exam and obtain OGUK (offshore) certification by a Solar-approved physician
• Be able to obtain a legal Transportation Worker Identification Credential

Demonstrates expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical equipment, particularly in oil and gas and power plant environments. Proficient in using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for automated process controls and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
