Special Education Teacher

What You'll Do:
Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students' academic and emotional needs
Develop and implement IEPs with support from a multidisciplinary team
Use trauma-informed and positive behavioral strategies to foster growth
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Communicate regularly with families and external providers
Support students in transitioning to traditional schools or other placements
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (required)
Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education (or ability to obtain)
Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges
Passion for student-centered teaching and hands-on engagement
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
Commitment to collaboration and continuous learning
