** Position Summary*
* We are seeking a Meter Service Mechanic - Electric to perform routine field work while developing the skills necessary to install, test, maintain, and repair electric metering systems  This position involves hands on electrical work, customer service interaction, and participation in storm response and emergency restoration activities as required

** Minimum Qualifications*
* + High school diploma or equivalent
+ Valid, clean motor vehicle operator's license
+ Ability to successfully pass the CAST test
+ Mechanical aptitude
+ Understanding of and ability to apply electrical theory

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Licensed electrician or equivalent education and experience
+ Prior related metering or instrumentation experience

** Compensation & Benefits*
* + This position is part of a four year job progression:
Starting pay at Step 1 $ 32 65 and progressing in accordance with the union contract
