Senior Accountant

Synergy Search is partnering with a private equity-backed company to identify a Senior Accountant. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Own the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Support the annual audit and tax preparation processes, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors
• Analyze financial data and prepare variance analyses and management reporting
• Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and PE sponsor reporting requirements
• Support process improvement initiatives as the company scales

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Experience with in a PE-backed or private-equity portfolio company a plus
• Strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills and comfort operating in a fast-paced, in-office environment
