Overview
Part-Time Assessment Assistant, Center for Alternative Studies. Salary: $36.55/hr; non-benefited, MCCC unit position.
Location:
Lynn/Danvers, MA. Campus locations:
Lynn and Danvers.
Work Schedule:
1-7pm Wednesday (Danvers), 1-7pm Thursday (Lynn), 12-5pm Friday (Danvers), one (two during peak times) Saturday per month (Lynn/Remote).
- Administer and proctor computerized placement examinations to new and returning students, interpret placement scores, and determine course placement and recommendations based on test scores.
- Administer and proctor other tests as needed (e.g., faculty course testing, HiSET).
- Enter data into the Banner system (e.g., test scores) and perform general data management.
- Work with testing platforms such as Exam Soft, Pearson, ATI.
- Perform administrative tasks related to department activities (e.g., downloading rosters, checking students in/out of testing).
- Support department operations with miscellaneous tasks (e.g., assisting with CLEP registrations).
- Interact with students, faculty, advisors, and other departments; answer questions regarding testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or closely related field.
- One year of experience and/or training involving computerized test administration, computer program manipulation, or computer operations in an academic environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Technical proficiency; experience with Banner preferred.
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.
- Candidates must pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
