Therole
We are looking for an experienced individual to define and drive our company’s global pricing landscape. In this role, you will drive revenue growth by designing a strategic pricing framework and leading the operational changes required for its successful rollout, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers. You will work with a team of analysts to uncover insights, partner with Strategic Marketing to align on value propositions, collaborate closely with IT to build the technical capabilities necessary to scale and support Sales with crafting value-based communications for customers.
This role will drive the adoption of pricing strategies aligned with the CST brand and mission by bridging the gap between sophisticated data modeling and practical, on-the-ground commercial application.
- Architect the
Roadmap:
Develop a multi-year value focused pricing strategy and global framework across the full product lifecycle (from NPI to end-of-life). - Commercial Execution:
Partner with Strategic Marketing and Sales leadership to co-develop segment-specific pricing and predictive promotional strategies that align with market trends, customer value and CST mission.
- Strategic Communication & Organizational Alignment (40%):
Demystify pricing logic by acting as the primary "translator" of pricing data, converting models and margin analyses into clear narratives that empower Sales to negotiate with confidence and executives to make informed decisions. - Change Management:
Lead the organizational adoption of new pricing guiding principles by articulating the "why" behind changes and ensuring cross-functional teams understand the value proposition. - Infrastructure, Analytics & IT Partnership (20%):
Own the architecture as the business owner for pricing systems, partnering with IT to translate business strategies into technical requirements for dynamic, logic-based pricing tools. - Actionable Analytics:
Establish standard KPIs for pricing, support pricing impact analysis for quarterly business reviews, identify revenue leakage, margin erosion and uplift opportunities, and propose recommendations to commercial stakeholders. - Advanced Modeling &
Collaboration:
Collaborate with a team of pricing analysts to conduct advanced pricing modeling, competitive landscape analysis, and financial impact assessments to support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related quantitative field.
- 7+ years in Pricing, Commercial Strategy, or Revenue Operations
- Experience specifically in Strategic Pricing or Revenue Management (beyond price administration to strategy formulation)
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority, specifically within Sales and Product Management organizations.
- Experience partnering with IT or Systems teams to define business requirements for pricing tools
- Strong communication skills; capable of simplifying complex pricing concepts for executives and Sales teams alike.
- Expert-level modeling skills (Excel) and proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power
BI) - Experience in Life Sciences, Pharma, or Biotech industries
- MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative field.
- Experience guiding or collaborating with junior analysts or data scientists to structure complex modeling projects.
- Experience implementing new pricing methodologies across a global organization.
This position has a starting base salary range of $162,000 to $227,000 per year, which the company, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
