PositionSenior Manager, Business Development — Cardiovascular (Danvers, MA)
PurposeThe Senior Manager will support the Heart Recovery, Circulatory Restoration, Electrophysiology and Neurovascular businesses as part of the J&J Med Tech Cardiovascular Business Development team. The role collaborates with internal and external partners to identify, assess, develop, complete and implement transactions and partnerships that drive growth and shape the business direction.
Responsibilities- Collaborate across Business Development and with functional leaders to support priority inorganic evaluations and transactions, including licensing, acquisition, co‑development, commercial partnerships, equity investments and other deal structures.
- Support and coordinate the business development process including target identification, business case creation, opportunity analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation and integration planning.
- Work closely with J&J Legal, Finance and other cross‑functional partners on transactions, including managing or directing project initiation, business case development, due diligence and contracting.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on new strategies, opportunities and tactics.
- Deliver high‑quality oral and written presentations for J&J approvals.
- Monitor markets, competitors and organizations of potential strategic interest.
- Build relationships by attending healthcare conferences, industry trade shows, investment conferences and other intelligence sources.
- Ensure project teams follow appropriate healthcare guidelines, including Healthcare Compliance, Quality and Regulatory frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of experience.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably Med Tech.
- Strong analytical, financial, negotiation, influencing, project management and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects.
- Ability to connect with and influence business leaders across multiple levels and functions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Preferred: experience in finance, accounting, product development, commercialization, corporate business development, working with clinicians, inventors and intellectual property generators.
- Requires domestic and international travel up to 20%.

Base salary range: $ – $. The position is eligible for an annual performance bonus, a long‑term incentive program and participation in the company’s consolidated retirement and savings plans.
Benefits- Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year.
- Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year (48 hours in Colorado, 56 hours in Washington).
- Holiday pay including floating holidays – 13 days per calendar year.
- Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year.
- Parental leave – 480 hours within one year of birth, adoption or foster care.
- Bereavement leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member; 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year.
