Client Relationship Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Job OverviewAs a Benefits Consultant, you will retain clients and manage their book of business. You will develop benefit design and renewal strategies, analyze financials, and communicate the company's value proposition and industry trends.
Responsibilities- Develop sophisticated benefit design and renewal strategies and drive solutions for complex client issues.
- Collaborate with account management and client service teams on pre‑renewal strategy, RFP distribution, open enrollment, and post‑renewal analysis.
- Determine service scope, establish timelines, and keep teams updated on renewal changes.
- Maintain accountability for revenue, profitability, scope, budget, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Oversee onboarding of new clients, implementing plans, teams, and timelines.
- Exceed client expectations and grow the book through cross‑selling opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers, attending events to stay current.
- Maintain accurate client data in CRM and stay knowledgeable on compliance issues such as HIPAA, ERISA, Tax Code §125, PPACA, and state exchanges.
- Ability to influence and interact with C‑suite members.
- Strong attention to detail, self‑motivation, discipline, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage workload in a fast‑paced environment.
- 3+ years of benefits consulting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of Health Care Reform and health and ancillary insurance products.
- Practical knowledge of quoting process and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database applications.
- Valid life and health insurance license.
The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $90,000 to $100,000 per year. Base pay depends on skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on performance. We offer health, wellbeing, retirement, paid time off, overtime pay for non‑exempt employees, and learning and development programs.
