Anticipated starting salary is $57,289.00 - $60,000.00. Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience in accordance with the MCCC/MTA collective bargaining agreement. Full‑time benefited employees at North Shore Community College are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package offered through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. for a highlight of these benefits.

General Statement of DutiesThis full‑time Faculty member will be responsible for coordinating the Respiratory Care Program under the guidance of the Dean of Health Professions. He/she will be responsible for the organization, administration, continuous review, accreditation standards, and guidelines of the Respiratory Care Program, as well as teaching assigned courses within the program as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
Essential Functions- Must have an earned bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- A minimum of four years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care.
- Have a minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC‑accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs.
- A valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- A valid license as required by the state of Massachusetts to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of students in the community college.
- Must be a current member of the American Association of Respiratory Care.
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI background check as a condition of employment.
- Must complete CoARC Key Personnel Training within 24 months of assumption of position.
