Job Description:
SALARY:
Anticipated starting salary is $57,289.00 - $60,000.00. Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience in accordance with the MCCC/MTA collective bargaining agreement. Full time benefited employees at North Shore Community College are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package offered through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. for a highlight of these benefits.
At this time, the College is not providing sponsor ships for Visas.
Essential Functions- Provide overall administration, organization, and supervision of the Surgical Technology Program.
- Lead continuous program assessment, quality review, and improvement initiatives.
- Provide academic leadership and oversight, including curriculum planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, prioritize expenditures, and maintain an inventory of program equipment and supplies.
- Deliver high-quality instruction that supports the diverse backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and learning styles of community college students.
- Facilitate the application of theory to clinical practice while promoting critical thinking and independent learning.
- Collaborate effectively with program faculty and staff as an active member of the academic team.
- Participate in college governance and required meetings, including departmental meetings, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
- Maintain required professional credentials. Participate in continuing education, professional development activities, and an ARC/STSA-sponsored accreditation workshop at least once every five years.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to manage challenging or sensitive situations professionally.
- Promote the College's mission, goals, and objectives and perform other duties as assigned in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
