We are seeking a Biomedical Engineering Laboratory Specialist to support product development testing and activities within the engineering team. This role focuses on executing blood-based experiments, supporting device development, and ensuring high-quality data generation and documentation to enable device innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Execute blood-based, benchtop, and device-related test protocols in support of product development activities
- Prepare test articles, biological materials, reagents, and laboratory setups for engineering builds, feasibility studies, and verification activities
- Document experimental procedures, observations, and results in accordance with quality system and data integrity requirements
- Collect, compile, and perform basic analysis of experimental data to support technical assessments and engineering decision
- Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and workspace readiness to ensure efficient execution of development testing
- Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional team members to support project milestones, timelines, and design iteration activities
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment supporting biological, benchtop, or product development testing
- Proficiency in pipetting, solution and reagent preparation, sample handling, and operation of standard laboratory equipment
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to accurately document procedures, test execution, and results
- Experience working with blood, blood products, or other biologically relevant test materials in a laboratory setting
- Familiarity with laboratory documentation practices, experimental traceability, and work performed within a regulated or quality-controlled environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment
- Ability to support multiple concurrent studies
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
